These Days:
I am currently enrolled in the production track at FIEA, a master's program offered by UCF in Orlando, Florida. Florida Interactive Entertainment Acadamy (FIEA) trains students to develop games in cross-disciplinary teams using industry-standard technology and procedures. We are put in a simulation of a video game company, and expected to produce quality content while learning and improving our skills. This experience culminates into a two-semester long capstone project where the goal is to develop a game that will be distributed to the public.

Background:
My real name is Greg Armstrong, but everybody calls me Skippy. I have aspired to work in the video game industry for as long as I can remember.
In middle school, I began coding turn-based strategy games on my TI-82 calculator. Then, in high school I got real programming experience under my belt when i learned the basics of Visual Basic and C++. I also began to explore 2D image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator in my last two years of high school.
In my undergraduate studies at George Mason University I was introduced to Autodesk Maya. Starting my Junior year I was working in Maya almost exclusively to do my projects and assignments. As part of my minor in information technology I gained experience with Java and ActionScript. For my senior project I built my first level using an industry-standard game engine: UT3
